Why Volunteer?

   Gifts for Seniors is an award winning program that provides gifts to agencies that serve isolated seniors in a twelve county area. The volunteers work with teams of lively individuals who personify the spirit of giving. This is a short-term opportunity lasting approximately two months.

Areas in Which Volunteers are Needed

  • Gift Center Volunteers
       Thirty Five volunteers are needed for work in the Internal Operations Center (IOC) located near County Road C and Hamline Avenue North in Roseville. Tasks can include displaying gifts on tables, assisting senior agency representatives with "shopping" for their clients, tallying gift selections, etc. Two shifts are available from Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
  • Drivers/Gift Collectors
       Twenty volunteers are needed to pick up gifts from one or more of the Gift Barrel locations (placed in the twelve county area) one or more times a week, in the areas of their choice. Jobs also include delivering gifts to the Gift Center (IOC) during business hours on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Internal Operations Center (IOC) is located near County Road C and Hamline Avenue North in Roseville. The center is NOT open to the public. All visits are by scheduled appointment only.
